- Subscription insurance service available now from all Mazda dealers and Mazda website
- Repairs by Mazda’s Authorised Repairers and Authorised Bodyshop
- Policies to be offered with new and used cars, also open to existing Mazda owners
Mazda has appointed Wrisk to provide subscription-based insurance services for customers buying new and used cars.
Available now on the Mazda website, the service provides customers with a fully comprehensive monthly subscription policy.
The initiative is also open to all Mazda owners, regardless of when or where they bought their vehicles.
Dealers will introduce the new Mazda Insurance service to customers buying new or used cars, with the brand targeting a high take up rate from Mazda Driveaway Insurance, its five-day complimentary cover.
Once registered for a Driveaway policy, customers automatically receive a monthly subscription quote. Subscriptions are then activated online, with no charges to make changes, renew or cancel.
The partnership also covers accident management whereby vehicles in need of repair will be carried out at Mazda Approved Accident Repair Centres, performed by Mazda-trained technicians using original parts supplied by Mazda dealers.
Commenting on the new partnership, Mazda Motors UK, Managing Director, Jeremy Thomson, said: “Wrisk is widely recognised within the insurance services sector for its innovative industry leading approach with a strong focus on customer-centric solutions. We believe this new partnership will further enhance our ability to offer best-in-class products.
“Mazda Insurance now empowers our customers to pay by a monthly subscription, rather than the traditional model of an annual premium or hefty additional charges for paying monthly.
“Furthermore, all repairs will now be undertaken by Mazda trained technicians at our authorised repairers. This will enable Mazda to build closer relationships with customers and play a pivotal role in the supply and fitting of genuine Mazda parts.
“We also see this as an opportunity to engage with existing Mazda owners that we do not know. There are currently over 257,200 Mazda cars on UK roads and we are inviting their owners to get in touch through our website to see if we can assist with their insurance cover.”
Robert Cottrell, Vice President Commercial at Wrisk, commented: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Mazda UK to deliver its customers with smarter and more convenient car insurance.
“Our digital-first, legacy-free platform was built for the automotive sector so will ensure that Mazda can provide a compelling insurance proposition for new and used car customers, while also supporting aftersales opportunities for Mazda’s dealers and repairers.”
