Wrisk has formed Wrisk USA Corp, as part of its strategy to deploy its platform globally for its automotive and insurer clients. Through Wrisk configuring and embedding digital insurance experiences, its platform enables insurers and OEMs to grow market share and derive enhanced data insights.
Wrisk chose Connecticut as its USA headquarters in view of the recently announced “insurtech corridor” between the UK and Connecticut. Wrisk believes it can bring to US consumers and its US insurer partners some of the valuable insurance innovations that it has already delivered to customers, partners and insurers in the UK market.
The case for this new insurtech corridor was summed up by Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Andrew N. Mais. “This is a significant milestone, strengthening the partnership between Connecticut and the U.K. to accelerate innovation through insurtech and benefit consumers. Appropriate innovation can help support improved customer engagement and better service while enabling greater efficiencies and new business models to drive growth in the insurance sector and bring jobs to Connecticut.”
